Betty Campbell Obituary, Death Cause – Grady, Alabama, mourns the unexpected loss of one of its cherished residents, Betty Harrelson Campbell, who passed away at the age of 80 on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Baptist Hospital South in Montgomery, Alabama. Betty’s funeral services are scheduled to take place at Hayes Funeral Home on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 11:00 AM, with Reverend Jesse Kirkland and Reverend Kenny Horn officiating. Burial will follow in the peaceful grounds of Beaverdam Cemetery, under the compassionate direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation hours are set for Friday, December 22, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hayes Funeral Home.Betty’s journey began in Grady, and she became a proud graduate of Brantley High School in 1961. Eager to continue her education, she attended Massey Draughn Business School before pursuing an associate degree in computer science at Troy State University-Montgomery. Betty dedicated herself to public service, working in Civil Service where she played a vital role in training young Airmen responsible for tracking the nation’s nuclear arsenal within the United States Air Force.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Betty was an active member of Bradleyton Baptist Church, where she served as both secretary and treasurer for many years. However, her most cherished role was that of a devoted mother and grandmother to her family. In honor of Betty’s memory, flowers are welcomed, or those wishing to make contributions are encouraged to contribute to the Beaverdam Cemetery fund.
