Claude Newton Obituary, Death – Claude Newton who was 94 years old, passed away. During his time at North Central Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, he served as both a member and a deacon. The woman he had been married to for 64 years, Lola Mae, passed away before him. He is survived by three daughters, Dolores Ann McNatt and her husband Charles Glenn, Melba Elaine Preas and her husband Ray, and Virginia Iris Briggs and her husband Donnie; nine grandchildren, Charles McNatt Jr. and his wife Tiffany, Gregory McNatt and his wife Karen.

Melissa Stevens, Penny Broussard, Claudette LeVrier and her husband Stephen, Kenneth Preas and his wife Jimmy and his wife Mary; nine great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and eight step-great-grandchildren; sisters, LaVerne Zuehlke and Dorothy Gaines and her husband Jess; and a large number of other loving relatives and friends, including special friends Lucinda and the Woodard family.

The grandchildren will serve as pallbearers at the funeral service that will take place on Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. The visitation will take place on Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Earthman Resthaven. After the service, the burial will take place in the Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. As an alternative to the customary expressions of condolence, memorial gifts can be offered to Boys & Girls Town or any other charitable organization of your choosing.
