Glen Matheson Obituary, Death cause – Glen was known for his quick wit and his ability to make anyone laugh. He was a great cook. He and Kim fed and entertained many people in their home, always making guests feel welcome with Glen’s homemade bread. Glen was always on theme and dressed the part for dinner clubs, which led him to volunteer as a cast member in numerous plays with a local musical dinner theatre group. Glen had many passions.

He was a dedicated Boston sports fan, in particular his beloved Bruins. He loved music and travelling with his family to attend Zac Brown Band and Toad concerts, Bruins games, and golf trips with the guys. He was a proud Cape Bretoner and volunteered as a member of the Board of the Halifax Celtic Festival. Glen could make just about anything from scratch. Anyone who knew him, knew he was the first to lend a helping hand and could be depended on to share an interesting but useless bit of trivia in the process.

On December 14, 2023, the vibrant spirit of Alfred Glen Matheson, fondly known as Glen, departed from this world, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and community engagement that touched the hearts of many. Glen, aged 56 and hailing from Hammonds Plains, will be remembered not only for his skills as a mobile barber but for his infectious personality, culinary prowess, and unwavering dedication to family and community.

He is also survived by his nieces Davan and Lauren, and nephew Martin, aunts and uncles, cousins and many wonderful friends. He was preceded in death recently by his mother Carmie (MacLeod) Matheson and his brother-in-law, Quinn Kavanaugh.
