Jennifer Rogers Obituary, Death – On Monday, December 18, 2023, Eastman, GA, bid farewell to a beloved member of its community, Mrs. Jennifer “Jenny” Yawn Rogers. Born in McRae, GA, in 1952, Jenny, aged 71, peacefully passed away at her residence. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be scheduled for a later date. Jenny, a woman of faith, spent her early years in Telfair County, attending West Telfair Academy. She pursued a cosmetology degree at Ben Hill Irwin Tech and eventually established her own beauty salon, showcasing her talent for many years.

Her professional journey also led her to work as the Food Service Manager with the Georgia Department of Corrections. A dedicated wife of 48 years, Jenny was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her joy extended to various activities, including fishing, cooking, gardening, and, most importantly, spending quality time with her family. Jenny also had a special bond with her canine companion, Daisy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maudetta Spires Yawn and John T. Yawn, as well as her sister, Barbara Yawn Foskey, and brother, Johnny Yawn. Jenny is survived by her husband, Rodney Rogers of Rhine; two daughters, Darla Faulk (Isaac) of Eastman and Brandi Williamson (Wes) of Eastman; a son, Heath O’Quinn of Rhine; a step-daughter, Robyn Rogers of Warner Robins; five grandchildren, Nicholas Evans (Lauren), Porter Faulk, Dayla Faulk, Dannah Faulk, and Laik Williamson; and a great-grandson, Samuel Evans.

She is also survived by her brother, Ray Yawn of Smith Station, AL, and brother-in-law, Randall Rogers (Mary) of Rhine, along with several nieces and nephews. The family welcomes condolences and support at their residence, 408 2nd Street, Rhine, GA, 31077.
