Jonathan Tourney and Taylor Orlowski died in Fatal Car Accident


In a heartbreaking incident that shocked the McCandless community, teenagers Jonathan Tourney and Taylor Orlowski were tragically killed in a horrific car accident early Saturday morning. The fatal crash highlighted the fragility of life and the dire consequences of reckless driving.

Jonathan Tourney, 14, a ninth grader at Pine-Richland High School, is known for his dedication to his studies and active participation on the school’s soccer team. He was a vibrant young man but his sudden passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends and school community.

Taylor Orlowski was an 18-year-old girl from Baden, remembered for her vivacious spirit. She was identified as the driver of the SUV involved in the accident. Her sudden death left her family members and friends struggling with the shock and grief of losing a loved one so suddenly.

The fatal crash happened around 3:20 a.m. on Irwin Street near Babcock Avenue. According to Allegheny County Police reports, six people were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Tragically, Orlowski was pronounced dead at the scene, while Tourney, despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, succumbed to his injuries.

Two other passengers were hospitalized but are currently in stable condition. The remaining two people in the car miraculously escaped unharmed.
