Jordan Rishel Obituary, Death – In a devastating turn of events, the Washington County community is mourning the loss of Jordan Rishel, the 45-year-old executive director of the Washington County Community Foundation. Rishel lost her life in a tragic car crash that occurred near Arlington, Nebraska, on Thursday night. The incident unfolded around 7 p.m. when officers from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Nebraska State Patrol rushed to the scene of the accident on U.S. Highway 30 at County Road 15, also known as Marshall Nursery Road.

The crash site is located southwest of Blair, sending shockwaves through the tight-knit community. According to a county press release, the preliminary investigation revealed that Rishel was driving a Jeep Wrangler westbound on U.S. 30 in challenging driving conditions. Tragically, the vehicle lost control, veered into the eastbound lane, and collided with a Ford F-150 pickup. Despite the prompt response from authorities and emergency services, Rishel was pronounced dead at the scene. The two occupants of the Ford F-150 were transported to the hospital in Fremont with injuries that, thankfully, did not appear to be life-threatening, as reported by the State Patrol.
