Robert “Bob” Walter Rudek Obituary, Death Notice and Service Information

Robert “Bob” Walter Rudek Obituary, Death – On December 27, 2023, at the age of 74, Robert “Bob” Walter Rudek, who was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, died away calmly. On July 9, 1949, Bob Rudek was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to his parents, Walter Rudek and Sophie Rudek (née Komornicki). Patricia Mundt, his devoted wife, his daughter Kimberly Mundt, who is married to Peter Mundt, his brother Gary, his grandchildren Sophie and Oliver, and his nephew Jeremy Mundt, who is married to Eva, do not survive Bob. Father Walter, mother Sophie, sisters Sharon and Joan, and brother James all passed away before Bob. Bob is the last surviving member of his family.

The activities that Bob enjoyed doing when he was younger were bowling, weightlifting, and hanging out with his buddies. As a doctor in the United States Army, Bob served his country with great pride. Upon completion of his military service, he went on to work as a machinist at Allen Bradley (Rockwell Automation), where he also held the position of Union President for UE Local 1111 until his retirement in 2008. He had a deep love for his family and was wholeheartedly devoted to them. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and cheering on the Packers and Brewers. His favorite pastimes included all of these activities.

The family of Bob would like to express their gratitude to the outstanding team at the Vince Lombardi cancer clinic for providing Bob with such excellent care while he was a patient there. We would appreciate it if, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope House in Milwaukee in Bob’s honor. On Friday, January 5, 2023, from 12 to 2 p.m., there will be a reception held to celebrate Bob’s life. Following the visitation, there will be a service held at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (2228 N Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc), which will include military honors.
