Ronald Wilson Obituary, Death – It is with a heavy heart that the community of Savona, NY announces the passing of Ronald A. Wilson Sr., a respected member of the community, who peacefully departed on December 18, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 8, 1944, in Corning, NY, Ronald was the son of the late Kenneth Wilson and Dorothy Betron Wilson. A graduate of Savona Central School, Ronald dedicated over 30 years of his life to Corning Inc. as a Millwright, showcasing his strong work ethic and commitment.

His involvement in various community organizations, including the American Legion, Savona Rod & Gun Club, and the Savona Federated Church, reflected his deep connection to his community. Ronald found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially when surrounded by family. Hunting and fishing expeditions with loved ones were cherished moments, and he relished socializing at Flea Markets, creating lasting memories with those around him.

Ronald was predeceased by his parents, stepfather Carl Peters Sr., wife Claire, twin brother Rodney, and sister Barbara Maynard. He is survived by his significant other, Louise Brutsman, and her children Scott Brutsman and Beth Dart. Ronald’s legacy lives on through his children: Ronald Jr., Marla, Trina, and Tina, along with nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. His siblings Gary “Red” Wilson, Carl Peters Jr., Ed Wilson, and John Wilson, as well as best friends Jim and Sharon Fish and Jerry Klock, mourn the loss of a dear companion.

Friends and well-wishers are invited to pay their respects during calling hours on Saturday, December 23, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Bond-Davis Funeral Home of Bath. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm, offering an opportunity for the community to come together and honor Ronald’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ronald’s name to the Savona Federated Church, 20 Church Street, Savona, NY 14879. This gesture serves as a fitting tribute to a man who gave back to his community and lived a life marked by generosity and camaraderie. Ronald A.
