When you come into this wonderful establishment, you’ll be greeted by smiles, elegance and captivating art from Gallery Guchard on 436 E. 47th Street and a striking Muslim symbol in Arabic that translates to birth and life, which is perfect for this fine dining establishment. At Let’s Eat to Live, it felt like I was at a family member’s dining room preparing for a holiday feast. The wait staff was polite and very helpful and the owner Carmella Coq’mard Muhammad, answered every question I had with a smile. She notified me that she wanted to provide healthy food in a community that was surrounded by processed and fatty foods, especially considering the impact the pandemic had on us. She also wanted to clarify to potential customers that ‘Let’s Eat to Live’ is not a vegetarian restaurant. Her restaurant provides wild caught fish, halal chicken. turkey and beef (no pork of course) and vegetarian options – so everyone can find something they’ll love. I was able to take my beautiful 87-year-old granny on a date to this fine establishment and she loved her food. She kept raving about how fresh her turkey burger was. She even called a friend to tell her that they needed to have a date there. I had the Spinach Florentine and I took a Falafel Burger and some chicken for my wife.
