William Weir Obituary, Death – It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of William Patrick Weir, a cherished member of the Wilmette community, who left us at the tender age of 28. William, fondly known as Will, was the beloved son of Bridget and the late James Weir. Born into a close-knit family, Will was the loving brother of Martin, engaged to Jackie Durment, and Lee.

His presence was a source of joy, laughter, and unwavering support for his family, friends, and the wider community. The Weir family mourns the loss of a dear cousin, Andrew O’Connor, and Will’s cherished aunts and uncles: Kevin, Dennis, Tim (Christine), and Mike (Kristin) O’Connor, Molly (Jeff) Hapner, Nora O. (the late Chris) Powers, Kathleen (the late Mike) Joyce, Mary (Dan) Savocchia, Nancy Weir, Joan (Vince) Macaione, and the late M. Joseph O’Connor and Colleen O. (Marty) Rooney.

A memorial visitation has been scheduled at Simkins Funeral Home, 6251 Dempster St., Morton Grove, on Friday, December 29th, from 4 to 8 p.m. Friends and family will gather at St. Francis Xavier Church, 524 9th St., Wilmette, on Saturday, December 30th, for a 10 a.m. Mass to celebrate Will’s life.
